Crowle Gardens

Crowle Gardens Meadowbank presented an opportunity to create an engaging terraced private communal gathering area. A split level site, existing heritage elements and established trees, privacy considerations, water sensitive urban design and long view lines provided the ingredients for this great outcome.

A series of separated or small group passive recreation areas located around the central terraced Village Green. All areas are provided with good general visual and surveillance access while creating separated niches and framed views when seated. …areas and bench seating with paved areas for table arrangements. The central Village Green is set out with a series of grassed sitting edges overlooking the lawn, ephemeral water areas and garden beds breakaway seating is provided at the base of the stair and the far end of the lawn. A secondary lawn and seating area is located alongside the under croft area and set against a lush generous planted backdrop that also forms a buffer to nearby unit’s private courtyards.
