Working in conjunction with IAPA as one of three design teams selected for an urban design competition commissioned by the WuXi City Planning Department the team generated ideas for a new master plan and planning strategy. Hui Hill Forest Park (Xihui gongyuan) is recognised for important sites of cultural heritage, scenic quality and leisure and tourism facilities. The proposal seeks to satisfy the WuXi population’s recreational requirements whilst supporting the site’s environmental, heritage, cultural and conservation values. It is intended to encourage a pro-environment and sustainable culture.
